The four-semester study program “Master of Education in Teaching at Vocational Schools – Nursing/Economic and Social Management” offered by Catholic University of Applied Sciences Freiburg provides students with knowledge about nursing and how to conceptually design, conduct, assess, and develop teaching and learning processes. Students will learn about the health-care system`s foundations and difficulties such as sustainability, financing, quality management, etc. The curriculum consists of four main fields of study – specialized science of the subject Economic and Social Management, educational sciences, practical school studies, and master`s examination. Students write a report at the end of the practical phase as part of their practical school courses. This allows for individual evaluation on instructional modules as well as individual learning achievement. Upon successful completion of the program graduates can teach at vocational schools specializing in nursing, at privately owned nursing schools, in company education, personnel, etc.
