The further educational course “Youth Pastoral Training for Employees of Church Youth Work” offered by Catholic University of Applied Sciences provides youth officers with knowledge and skills which will help with their duties. The curriculum is divided into three separate modules. The first one addresses the one`s role in the church, society and church today, one`s position in respect to other pastoral professions. The second module examines one`s own beliefs in connection to one`s own life. It is discussed how to talk about one`s own beliefs on a responsible way. The last module focuses on liturgical forms. Topics that are addressed throughout the last phase are rituals, rituals theory, aesthetics and forms of youth liturgical celebrations, etc. Participants will have creative and future-oriented theological understanding and will be ready to take on their own role in the pastoral setting after finishing the course.
