“Bachelor of Arts in Social Work with Older People and Civic Engagement” is a dual, six-semester study program provided at the Cooperative State University Baden-Württemberg. This course provides in-depth knowledge of both theory and practice for working with older people. Students will attend theoretical lectures such as Social Work, Social Education, Sociology, Law and Administration, Social Medicine, and seminars, where they will learn how to design and create different activities for those people, while also strengthening their methodological, social and personal skills. By taking part in variety of practical trainings and an internship program, participants will gain essential professional knowledge, and can apply it in practice. Graduates of this course have wide range of career prospects, for example in psychiatric hospitals, health insurance companies, social stations, and many more.
