Danube University Krems, founded in 1994, is a public university seated in Krems and sponsored by the Republic of Austria and the Federal State of Lower Austria. It has another location in Memmingen. Danube University Krems accomodates three faculties: the Faculty of Health and Medicine, the Faculty of Business and Globalization, and the Faculty of Education, Arts and Architecture. It has a total of more than 8,800 students from some 90 countries enrolled in extra-occupational continuing education programs.
