Description

Chiropractic is a philosophy, science and art of natural things. Dresden International University offers the part-time organised* study programme "Chiropractic" as a Bachelor as well as a Master. The study programme imparts extensive basic medical knowledge as well as basic and specialist knowledge of chiropractic and enables students to apply chiropractic safely and effectively, thus setting themselves apart from the many therapists with little training available today.

The part-time Bachelor's degree programme in Chiropractic prepares students for the field of chiropractic and provides them with the necessary professional knowledge, skills and methods. Students acquire basic competences in the field of chiropractic, including basic knowledge of medical subjects, comprehensive knowledge in the field of biomechanics of the human musculoskeletal system, skills and abilities in manual procedures, especially adjustment/manipulation. The study programme enables the participants to critically question their practical actions and to continuously adapt their therapeutic activities in practice to the current state of knowledge by researching and exhausting sources of information and to incorporate this knowledge into their daily work.

Further legal regulations may have to be observed in order to practise the profession. The degree alone does not constitute a professional licence.

(*including weekend days)
