Graduates of this Business Management (General Management) study programme acquire skills in this part-time two-year programme, building on their previous academic and professional knowledge, which enable them to develop business management know-how and apply innovative concepts independently and in teams.

Through a close connection between modern management theories and operational practice, participants acquire overarching professional, practical and action competences that are required to perform management tasks.

With an experienced team of lecturers consisting of academics from the university sector and experienced practitioners, the theory and practice of modern management theory are developed and the functional areas of a company are analysed from a total of five perspectives. Through seminars, case studies and company projects, MBA students are given an interdisciplinary overview of all management areas. Group and project work motivate the participants to push the limits of their team and performance capabilities and thereby develop leadership skills.

In detail, the following individual competences are to be imparted and promoted:

• Acquisition of business management and interdisciplinary application-oriented expertise,
• analysis of entrepreneurial decision-making processes with the help of business management instruments and methods,
• multidimensional approach to complex interconnections between different functional areas in the company and its environment,
• independent development of solution concepts for practical economic and entrepreneurial problems as well as
• Training in teamwork skills and
• Strengthening personal maturity to take on responsibility and successful personnel management.
