Description
The study programme enables the students to work independently in a relevant scientific manner, to be able to assess the quality of scientific results and to conduct high-quality, in-depth literature research. A further qualification goal is the secure ability to apply scientifically based knowledge and techniques and to use them in the context of the treatment of patients or in practice according to the current state of research and knowledge of medical and osteopathic developments.
Students are enabled to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the practice of osteopathy. In doing so, their individuality as well as their personal approach to osteopathy is encouraged. A balanced relationship between theory and practice helps to train students to become independent, critically thinking therapists.
The study programme aims at a comprehensive personality development and profiling in all competence areas of professional, methodical, personal and social aspects. This is an important prerequisite for dealing responsibly with patients and a not insignificant aspect of later healing success.
The Osteopathic Therapy courses are offered in cooperation with HOLISTÉA.
This also provides the opportunity to access the professional and personnel know-how of the cooperation partners, which has been incorporated into the development and further development of the study courses. Furthermore, it is possible to use the teaching and practice rooms of the cooperation partners including the necessary equipment and materials for the entire study programme of the DIU. This enables a direct theory-practice transfer of the taught contents and ensures the application orientation of the teaching contents. These cooperations have also proven successful with regard to marketing and sales of the degree programmes. The overall formal and academic content responsibility for all study programmes lies with DIU.
