Dresden University of Applied Sciences, founded in 2010, is a state-approved private university seated in Dresden, Saxony. It is sponsored by Fachhochschule Dresden – Private Fachhochschule gGmbH, and currently has a total of round about 600 students that spread across three faculties: the Faculty of Design, the Faculty of Business Administration, and the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences. Offered in the Faculty of Design are the study programs “Graphic Design Screen/Print Media“, “Media Informatics/Media Design“, and “Fashion Design“. The Faculty of Business Administration comprises the study programs “Business Administration“, and “Tourism & Event Management“. The Faculty of Applied Social Sciences offers the study programs “Nursing and Health Management“, and “Social Education & Management“. In addition to conventional full-time study programs, prospective students are also provided with the opportunity of attending the extra-occupational study programs “Tourism & Event Management“, “Business Administration“, “Social Education and Management“, as well as “Nursing and Health Management“. All study prorams culminate in a B.A. degree. The study offer is complemented by continuing education opportunities that combine research, application orientation and economic practice, with emphasis on management for the social and health Sector, the tourism sector, as well as areas relating to art and technology.
