École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, founded in 1969, is a public university seated in Eclubens. It breaks down into seven faculties: the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering; the Faculty of Computer and Communication Sciences; the College of Humanities; the Faculty of Basic Sciences; the Faculty of Life Sciences; the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Management of Technology.
