The Euro-FH University of Applied Sciences offers the practical course “Personal Coach”, which has been state-approved by ZFU-State Central Office for Distance Learning in Cologne, to guarantee the quality of the service provided, and also, certified by the Quality Association for Coach Training (QCA). The Detmold district government has recognized it officically as a vocational training measure. No special eligibility requirements exist, as long as prospective attendees possess enough life experience and empathy, and enjoy working with, and helping people. In completing the seven academic tasks, scheduled during the ten months of the course, students will receive sixteen credits and a Certificate for Psychological Advisor, issued by Euro-FH, which could serve in pursuing a consecutive university degree in the field. Further training as a psychotherapist can be followed, since the studies will provide extensive overview of the existing knowledge and methodology in psychological work, theurapeutic approaches, conversation patterns, creativity techniques, models of human behavior. Practical tips on opening a private consulting practice will also be provided.
