The European School of Management and Technology Berlin, founded in 2002 on the initiative of 25 globally leading companies and associations, is a private higher education institution with university status. Its educational focus is placed on Leadership and Social Responsibility, European Competitiveness, and Technology Management. It is sponsored by the ESMT foundation and the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the ESMT. Approximately 230 students are enrolled in three continuing education programs: a one-year full-time MBA program, an 18-month extra-occupational Executive MBA program, as well as a 24-month Master in Management program. All three programs are taught in English. Added to those are management-related continuing education programs, namely Executive Development Programs, Advanced Management Programs, and Customized Programs.
