Ewersbach University of Theology, founded in Vohwinkel in 1912 as a school for the training of teachers of the Union of Evangelical Churches, is a state-approved ecclesiastical institution of higher education seated in Dietzhölztal-Ewersbach, Hesse. It first and foremost serves as an educational facility for pastoral ministry in congregational and missionary work. The scope of studies offered comprises three-year Bachelor degree programs and two-year consecutive Master degree programs that cover the following subjects: Old Testament, New Testament, Systematic Theology, Church History, Practical Theology, Missiology. The study programs prepare students for professional activities as a parish assistant, youth advisor as well as for tasks relating to missionary and social welfare work. Graduates of Ewersbach University of Theology receive a B.A. or M.A degree. Ewersbach University of Theology currently accomodate some 60 students.
