The eight-semester study program “Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sport Science - Specialisation Physiotherapy and Health Sports” offered by College for Sport and Management Potsdam is a unique course of study in Germany due to its combination- students receive both German practical training as physiotherapists and an internationally acknowledged Bachelor of Arts degree. The aim is to develop students with comprehensive scientific knowledge and abilities for a practical career in the sports and health sectors through professional instruction. Students will learn classic methods such as massage therapy, physiotherapy, but also prevention, biometrics, neurology, management and mathematics in medicine, etc. Incorporated to the curriculum, there is a 4-week internship throughout the third semester. The program is held in collaboration with the Akademie für Sozial- und Gesundheitsberufe Beelitz, an organisation associated with the Recura clinics. Upon successful completion of the course graduates are qualified to work in prevention and rehabilitation services, clinics, large sports clubs, etc.
