The three-year degree program “Bachelor of Arts Police Civil Service“ at the FHVD – Fachhochschule für Verwaltung und Dienstleistung provides preparation for the professional field of the police officer. Students will learn to observe and assess compound issues from the police working area. In comparison to other university`s students, police students have a special status, therefore they become a salary from the first month, but are obliged to be present at classes. The study is divided into four theoretical semesters, during which the students are taught essential legal, criminological and operational basics, as well as a basic and a main internship at departments of the state police. After finishing the program students will be completely prepared for the interesting and complex work in a police department of the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
