The FHVD – Fachhochschule für Verwaltung und Dienstleistung offers the four-year “Diplom-Finanzwirt“. After passing the final exam students will be able to work in the state financial administration. Participants will become educated through theoretical training in the fields of income tax, sales tax, balance sheet tax and etc. They will also learn about tax procedural law, public law, the German Civil Code, as well as economics and business administration. High level of teaching is ensured through small teaching groups instead of impersonal mass lectures. The practical professional time begins after the first part of the basics studies at the FHVD. The on-the-job preparation will adjust the students to the duties of a tax office. They will learn about tax assessment departments, as well as other departments such as the audit and the enforcement.
