The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Acting” at Film University Babelsberg provides a thorough preparation for a career in screen and stage acting. The theoretical knowledge and the extensive training include the development of acting techniques, and gaining comprehension of esthetics and dramaturgy in different media. Particular emphasis is placed on teamwork experience and interdisciplinary projects thanks to which students are able to collaborate with various directors. Apart from the in-depth body and voice training students acquire, they are also given the chance to demonstrate their skills by participating in film projects and theatre productions. Moreover, the course of studies provides students with a specialization in media. The program includes modules such as Introductory Courses, Basics of Acting and Performance, and Film or TV Introduction to Acting Techniques, as well as Voice, History and Fundamentals of Dramaturgy, and Dramaturgy and Esthetics in the Media of Performance. By the end of this degree program, graduates have the competencies relevant to a wide range of employment options and are prepared for a career in film, television and theatre.
