The German-language program “Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television Production” at Film University Babelsberg is suitable for those who have a desire to become highly skilled professionals in the Film and Television field. Not only do students acquire comprehensive knowledge of technology, economics, law, and politics, but they also benefit from practical training. They are required to participate in various projects, thus being able to face and deal with different challenges and responsibilities typical for film creation and production. The process of filmmaking includes involvement in story development, preproduction, and teamwork as well as the organization of shoots and postproduction procedures. Many films produced during these projects are screened at national and international festivals. The undergraduate degree program comprises the following modules: Introductory Courses, Practice of Audiovisual Media Production, Production Organization as well as Media Technology, Dramaturgy, History, Film Projects, Media Economics, Production as a Business, Artistic Graduation Project, and Bachelor’s Thesis. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates can pursue careers linked to film and television in the public and private sectors.
