The study program “Master of Arts in Film and Television Production” at Film University Babelsberg is designed to help individuals expand their artistic, organizational, economic, legal, and entrepreneurial skills. Students independently plan and implement film projects and obtain an in-depth comprehension of all dimensions of creative and entrepreneurial work. The course of studies revolves around production modules, in-depth training in story development, format trade, and distribution. It also covers topics such as accounting, controlling, and entrepreneurship, as well as legal issues, media politics, and human resources management. Thanks to the projects students work on, they will not just cooperate with potential partners from other programs, but also familiarize themselves with the structures and key players of the national and international media industry. They are guided and supported by industry professionals. Modules consist of the following: Production Organization Module, Entrepreneurial Module, Electives, Project Module, Artistic and Creative Module, as well as Economics, Law, Artistic Graduation Project, and Master’s Thesis. Some of the career options include working as executive producers, line producers, and producers in the field of film and television production.
