The seven-semester part-time study program “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” offered by Fliedner University of Applied Sciences is the most flexible course of study. Social service helps to address social issues, provide self – help assistance, and create educational opportunities for individual of all ages. The fields of practice are very extensive, ranging from family counselling to handicapped support. Throughout the program, students will learn how to help people in various life circumstances in order to enable them to live a socially connected life. The emphasize is put on the practical competencies, with two practical stages in the 3rd and 5th semesters. Some of the topics which will be addressed in the classes are psychology and sociology, as well as international social work. Graduates of the program are active in the fields of educational counselling, school social work, home education, refugee work and other relevant spheres.
