The five-semester part-time study program ``Bachelor of Arts in Social Work`` offered by Fliedner University of Applied Sciences has a special course of study for state-recognized educators. The fields of practice are very extensive, ranging from family counselling to handicapped support. Throughout the program, students will learn how to help people in various life circumstances in order to enable them to live a socially connected life. Part-time studies enable students to begin working part-time or to be able to meet personal commitments. This short degree program allows students to prepare themselves more explicitly for the social sector job market. The classes are only two days per week and are arranged in small groups. Some of the topics which will be addressed in the classes are psychology and sociology, advice and assisting planning. Graduates of the program are active in the fields of educational counselling, school social work, home education, refugee work and other relevant spheres.
