The course “Master of Arts in Arabic Studies” at the Free University of Berlin lasts four semesters and is instructed in Arabic, English and German. The program introduces students in depth to The Arabic language, culture, literature and history. The curriculum includes the modules Cultural and intellectual history of the Arabic-speaking world, Arabic literature and its aesthetic dimensions, Qur’an, Tafsir, Hadith and more.  Upon successful completion, graduates can begin careers in international organisations, non-governmental organisations, public authorities, policy counselling, media, publishing and numerous more opportunities. The admission requirements are a Bachelor’s degree in history and culture of the Middle East and knowledge of the Arabic language.
