The “Bachelor of Arts in Art History - East Asia’’ study program offered by the Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of History and Cultural Studies. It is a study program created in a single variation: Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course is primarily focused on the art and culture of China, Japan and Korea. The interdisciplinary educational program introduces the participants to different object of the Eastern painting, writing, sculpture, architecture, garden art, graphics, crafts. The time span selected in the study program is from the Neolithic period to modern times. Participants are expected to gain deep knowledge of Art History and to be able to analyze, research, present different epoch and genre topics in a systematic and a scientific manner.
