The “Bachelor of Arts in Art History - Europe and America’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of History and Cultural Studies. It is a study program created in a single variation: Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course is primarily focused on the different art forms in the fields of painting, printmaking, sculpture/plastic, architecture, garden art, arts and crafts, photography, film, new media, installation, performance. The study program researches the prerequisites of the numerous art forms creation. The interdisciplinary approach gives the participants the possibility to relate the forms of art to subjects like Geography, History, Social Sciences, etc., and to put it into a global context.
