The “Master of Arts in Art History in a Global Context: Focus on Africa” program at the Free University of Berlin runs over four semesters. The course provides students with a detailed and advanced education in the field of ancient, modern and contemporary art of Africa and the African diaspora. The training comprises compulsory and elective modules from which students to choose and develop in depth. Students receive a high qualification enabling them to have a future in public relations, publishing, media work, journalism, tourism, museum education and other possibilities. The admission requirements are Bachelor’s degree and language skills in English, French, Portuguese or Arabic.
