The degree course “Master of Arts in Art History in a Global Context: Focus on Europe and America” at the Free University of Berlin is four semesters long. The program examines and compares historical and contemporary objects of artistic production in various genres and architecture from different regions and cultures. During their studies, students have compulsory and elective modules from which they can choose two subjects. To apply, applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in art history or equivalent and good English knowledge. Graduates could pursue a career in publishing, museum education, adult education, image archiving and digitization.
