The “Master of Science in Biology” program at the Free University of Berlin has a duration of four semesters and is in English. The training teaches students the theoretical and practical foundations of this discipline while becoming familiar with the methods and techniques used in modern biological research. The course allows students to choose different areas of biochemistry, biodiversity, evolution, genetics, molecular biology, neurobiology, ecology, and others. The syllabus consists of the Introductory area, Extension area, Project area and culminates with a Master's thesis. Graduates can begin a career in universities, research institutions, industry and administration. Applicants interested in applying for the program must have completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology or equivalent and have a good knowledge of English at B2 level.
