The “Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Teacher Training’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Biology, Chemistry, and Pharmacy. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training and Minor subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training. The study program has a strong background in Mathematics and Physics. The course is carefully crafted in 3 main areas, covering different fields of Chemistry – Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry. Gaining a knowledge of the different chemical reactions gives the participants the possibility to explain the world around them and the laws of its existence. The future graduates are expected to fully understand and deal successfully with subjects like Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Crystallography, Macromolecular Chemistry, Radiochemistry, and Theoretical Chemistry.
