The “Bachelor of Arts in Chinese’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of History and Cultural Studies. It is a study program created in a single variation: Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course is focused on the modern Chinese language and aims at developing the four major language skills of the participants - listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The University has developed successful partner programs with other educational institurions that students can benefit from. During the study program the participants are expected to gain knowledge on the culture, the economy, the social life of China too. Along with the language theory, students have the chance to combine the study with extensive practice. It includes complementary lectures, exhibitions, film screenings and various regional events.
