The “Master of Arts in Dance Science” program at the Free University of Berlin has a continuation of four semesters. The course is research-oriented and explores different perspectives on the historical, artistic and social aspects of dance. In addition, the training combines various studies in science and art. The curriculum consists of six modules, such as Introduction to Dance Art, Theory/Aesthetics, Historicity/Historiography and Research Practice. Graduates gain qualifications for dance in theatres, institutions, science, journalism, cultural management, production and communication and many other opportunities. The admission requirement is a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree.
