The “Bachelor of Arts in Language - Literature - Culture: Dutch’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor and Minor subject in a combi bachelor. As a key European language, Dutch is put in the spotlight of this course. The Bachelor’s rogram in Dutch Philology educates the participants in terms of the history, language specifics and development of the language of the Dutch-speaking world. The focus of the program is put on famous contemporary writers that has shaped the contemporary language. The interdisciplinary course discovers the interconnections between Netherlands and Germany – in language, culture, and history context.
