The “Bachelor of Science in Equine Science’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a 6-semester course created in the Department of Veterinary Medicine. The program is designed with a special accent on species-appropriate handling and keeping of horses. During the study program the participant will gain knowledge of the species-specific needs, learning and performance physiology of the horse, as well as the general animal welfare. The program aims to introduce students into the general principles of the horse industry so that the graduates will be able to manage an equine business or to work on management positions in all areas of the equine industry.
