The “Bachelor of Arts in French” study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created in a single variation: Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The edicational course is primarily focused on the language, literature, culture and history of France and the French-speaking countries. The participants are available to choose between the 60 LP module with prior French linguistic knowledge and the other 60 LP module without prior French linguistic knowledge. The course examines the diversity of the French linguistic system, the language’s theories and methods, the linguistic reflection on the socio-cultural field as well as the interdisciplinary connection of the language in a broader context. Some of the key subject of the course include: Geography, History, Politics, Philosophy, Art, Media, etc.
