The “Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature with Teacher Training’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training and Minor subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training. The course is primarily focused on the language, literature, culture and history of France and the other French-speaking geographical areas. The interdisciplinary approach introduces the participants to subjects like Geography, History, Politics, Philosophy, Art, Media, Social Systems, etc. The course combines theory and practice. The graduates are expected not only to learn the methods of the literary studies but also to develop all major language fields: reading, listening, speaking, and writing.
