The “Bachelor of Arts in Hebrew’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of History and Cultural Studies. It is a study program created in a single variation: Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course is primarily focused on the Hebrew language and covers the writing and speaking skills of the participants from level one to four (directly corresponding to the language education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem). Additionally, students examine the Hebrew culture, the modern fiction, and the works of the contemporary Hebrew writers. Despite its regional focus, the interdisciplinary study program includes subjects like History, Geography, Culture, Art, etc. The Freie University has established successful partner programs with other major educational institutions that the participants can benefit from.
