The “Bachelor of Arts in History with Teacher Training’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of History and Cultural Studies. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training and Minor subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training. The course incorporates four major fields: Ancient History, Medieval History of Europe and the Near East, Modern history of Europe and the world, and Didactics of History. Students are expected to gain knowledge of History of Politics, Society, Culture, Economy, Religion, etc., and to implement it in dufferent social and cultural contexts. The Bachelor’s study program in History aims at exploring connections and to predict certain trends too. The scientific methods and theories in the study program are a stable foundation of creating the best possible futute teachers in History.
