The “Bachelor of Arts in Italian Language and Literature’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created as a Major subject in a combi bachelor. The future philologists acquire their knowledge in the main areas of language practice, linguistics, literary and regional studies. The participants are expected to develop all basic language skills a professional would need - reading, listening, speaking and writing. Except the numerous language practices, the interdisciplinary course emphasized on Italian and language history, the social and cultural influences. The study program offers variery of linguistic theories and scientific methods as well as extensive language practice.
