The “Bachelor of Arts in Italian Language and Literature with Teacher Training’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Institute of Romance Languages and Literatures. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training and Minor subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training. The main modules of the Bachelor’s program include: Literary Studies, Language Practice, and Linguistics. The main focus of the course is put on reading and understanding of Italian literary texts. However, the multidisciplinary study program involves the knowledge of other fields of study like History and Culture. The participants are expected to develop deep understanding of language practice, linguistics and literary studies, and regional studies.
