Description
The “Bachelor of Arts in Jewish History’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of History and Cultural Studies. It is a study program created in a single variation: Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course is primarily focused on the past and present of the Jewish history, including the historical sites and memorials, institutions and museums, cultural and social influences and interconnections. Despite its regional focus, the interdisciplinary study program offers a variety of additional subject that put the Jewish history in a wider context. The Department of History and Cultural Studies has developed successful cooperations with numerous Judaistic institutions from European and non-European countries like the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the Istituto Nazionale di Studi sul Rinascimento in Florence. Additionaly, the Library of Freie Universität offers a diversity of books and materials that can help the students to research and dive into knowledge even more.
