The program “Jewish Studies” at the Free University of Berlin is research-oriented and focuses on interdisciplinary research. The language instruction of the training is in English and German. The syllabus incorporates Core areas, Subject-specific electives and the profile areas Judaism and Islam or Holocaust Studies. The curriculum includes the modules such as Jewish self-conceptions and tolerance, Jewish living worlds, Judaism and Islam, History of the Holocaust and Jewish responses to Modernity and Postmodernity. Graduates have broad career prospects in museums, archives, media, publishing and many other opportunities.
