The “Bachelor of Arts in Language and Society’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Interdisciplinary Centre European Languages. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor and Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course examines the dynamic connections between language and different cocial realms – education, politics, advertising, public relations, etc. Through theory and practice participant acquire knowledge of the language’s impact on people’s lives. The different subjects present the language both as an instrument of influence and a symbol, successfully connecting all human beings. The course offers numerous foreign languages skills, where students can select from nearly 15 languages.
