The “Bachelor of Arts in Latin Language and Literature with Teacher Training’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training and Minor subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training. The course is primarily focused on key Latin texts from ancient times to the beginning of the Middle Ages. The participant are to be introduced to the European literature and science. The interdisciplinary approach includes in the course key subjects like Ancient History and Greek Philology. The graduates are also expected to develop strong language and translation skills.
