The “Bachelor of Science in Mathematics” study program offered by the Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The course is structured in two area – a compulsory and a specialization one. The Bachelor’s program in Mathematics is crafted in a way that gives the participants the opportunity to gain deeper knowledge of a specific area while solving a chosen scientific problem. Every module of the course has its own qualification goals that the student have to cover. Some of the main subjects included in the Bachelor’s program are focused on: Foreign Languages, Information and Media Competence, Gender & Diversity Competence, Organizational and Management Competence, Personal and Social-Communicative Competence and Subject-Related Additional Qualifications.
