The “Bachelor of Science in Mathematics for Teaching’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training and Minor subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training. The subject allows the participants to apply their knowledge in different fields such as technology, art, nature and economics. During the course students will learn all leading principles and methods of Mathematics. The course encourages not only strong problem-solving attitude but also creative thinking. An additional focus is put on the teaching itself and the specific attitude towards the students regarding the peculiarities of the Mathematics’ science.
