The “Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication Studies’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Political and Social Sciences. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor and Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The interdisciplinary course focuses on both social sciences and humanities in order to introduce the participant to the effects of public communication on the society. The study program includes different areas of the present communication styles – network-based, computer, public, direct, corporate, etc. After their graduation the participants can persue careers as journalists, media analysists, researchers, digital communication specialists, public relations experts.
