The “Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication Studies’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Political and Social Sciences. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor and Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course is primarily focused on the social impact of the media and communications to the society, its development and connection to the culture. The interdisciplinary approach aims to introduce the participants to different organizational computer-mediated and network-based communication. The study program combines theory and extensive practice. Upon graduation, the students can persue a career in the fields of media, journalism, communication theory, digital communication, etc.
