The “Bachelor of Science in Meteorology‘’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a 6-semester course designed by the Department of Earth Sciences. During the course the participants will understand better the science behind the physics and chemistry of the atmosphere. A central focus of the study program is the knowledge of the processes influencing the weather and the climate. Studying the Bachelor’s program in Meteorology aims to teach the participants to observe, analyse, and predict processes in the atmosphere. The course offers different subject like General Meteorology, Interaction in the Earth Climate System, Theoretical Meteorology, Statistical Meteorology, Atmospheric Dynamics. Additionally, the Institute of Meteorology provides the graduates with laboratories with modern instrumental meteorological equipment, a rich library with a large stock of meteorological books and journals and numerous up-to-date equipped rooms.
