The “Bachelor of Arts in Modern Greek Studies’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor and Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course is primarily focused on the Modern Greek language, history, culture, and literature. The participants are to be introduced to the Neo-Greek Studies which examines the development and cultural heritage of Greece and Cyprus. Key areas of study are the Byzantine traditions and contemporary literatures. The study program is a successful combination of theory and practice where students can develop their all basic language skills.
