The “Bachelor of Arts in Portuguese-Brazilian Studies’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created in a single variation: Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course is primarily focused on the language, culture and history of Portugal and Brazil. The language module of the course targets al basic skills that the students are supposed to master - reading, listening, speaking, and writing. The linguistics module targets the theory and methods mainly of the Romance and Lusitanian linguistics. Among the key subjects of the course are also: Geography, History, Politics, Philosophy, Art, Media, Social Systems, etc.
