The “Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature with Latin American Studies’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Department of Philosophy and Humanities. It is a study program created in a single variation: Minor subject in a combi bachelor. The course is primarily focused on the language, literature, culture and history of Spain and the other Spanish-speaking countries. The main modules of the educational program include Linguistics, Literary Studies and Regional Studies. The interdisciplinary approach gives the graduates the opportunity to combine theory and practice. The participants are expected to gain knowledge on Romance and Spanish linguistics, and to put the historical development of the Spanish region into a larger social and cultural context.
