The “Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature with Teacher Training’’ study program offered by Free University of Berlin is a six-semester course designed by the Institute of Romance Languages and Literatures. It is a study program created in two variations: Major subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training and Minor subject in a combi bachelor with teacher training. The course is primarily focused on the language, literature, culture and history of Spain and the Spanish-speaking countries. The broad fields of study include linguistic system, linguistic history, history of Spanish linguistics. The study program examines the phenomenon of the language as a social, cultural, and biological construct. Its multidisciplinary profile gives the participants the opportunity to acquire additional knowledge of the subjects - Geography, History, Politics, Philosophy, Art, Culture, Media, and Social Systems.
